| Since 1973 some pectinides spat collection experiments have been conducted by the Fishery team of the Brittany Oceanology Centre, on two deposits exploited by commercial fishing: the roadsted of Brest and especially the St-Brieuc Bay The experiment carried out in 1973 was the first French attempt on this group of species and the results have been very encouraging: although the technology used was rudimentary, the best collectors enabled the collection of 30 to 50 king scallops (Pecten maximus) each and of 6,000 to 8,000 scallops (Chlamys varia and Chlamys opercularis). | ABSTRACT Headwater creeks are environments susceptible to invasion by non-native fishes. We evaluated the reproduction of 22 populations of the non-native livebearers guppy Poecilia reticulata, black molly Poecilia sphenops, Yucatan molly Poecilia velifera, green swordtail Xiphophorus hellerii, southern platyfish Xiphophorus maculatus, and variable platyfish Xiphophorus variatus during an annual cycle in five headwater creeks located in the largest South American ornamental aquaculture center, Paraíba do Sul River basin, southeastern Brazil. | La numération des larves d'huître dans le plancton renseigne les ostréiculteurs sur la date de pose des collecteurs. La technique utilisée est très ancienne (BOURY, 1928) ; pour chaque station trois prélèvements par traits de filets pendant 10 minutes sont effectués : deux en surface (filet 200 et filet 130) et un à 1 mètre de profondeur (filet 130). Une méthode par pompage avec mesure instantanée du volume d'eau filtrée a été mise au point (prélèvements en surface et à 1 mètre de profondeur, et rétention des véligères sur filets 200). | Serum hormone levels were compared between captive and free-living maned wolves and seasonal variations of sex hormones were studied. Blood samples were collected from 16 male and 26 female adult animals from Brazilian zoos, and from 30 male and 24 female free-living adults to determine serum progesterone and testosterone by radioimmunoassay. | No presente estudo avaliaram-se aspectos relacionados ao comportamento diário e reprodutivo de fêmeas bovinas mestiças (Zebu x Holandesa) portadoras de dermatite digital, durante um período de 24 meses. Os bovinos foram distribuídos em três grupos (GI, GII, GIII), compostos por dez animais cada. No GI foram alocadas fêmeas bovinas portadoras de dermatite digital na forma erosiva, no GII na forma verrucosa eo GIII composto por animais clinicamente saudáveis. | In this study carried out in the Biological Reserve of Poço das Antas, Rio de Janeiro state, southeastern Brazil, a roost of Molossus rufus (E. Geoffroy, 1805) was sampled one night per month, from November 2000 to October, 2001. The colonies in this species can exceed more than five hundreds, being present both sexes. The total number of animals captured was higher in the spring and declined in the autumn and winter. Between April to July the proportion of males overcome the females, while in other months the females prevailed. Molossus rufus have seasonal reproduction. | Comme précédemment en 1985 et 1986, le suivi de la reproduction des huîtres et des moules a été assuré par le CSRU de La Tremblade pour les secteurs clefs de la production du naissain que sont l'embouchure de la Charente, la Seudre et le bassin de Marennes-Oléron. Ce suivi a nécessité 40 sorties en mer, dont 21 à partir du Chapus ou de La Tremblade (moyens nautiques IFREMER) et 19 au départ de Port des Barques avec la location des services d'un professionnel. Les différents paramètres physico-chimiques (T°, S %, 02) ont été mesurés à l'occasion de chaque pêche de larves pour appréhender au mieux l'évolution de la reproduction et fournir des indications complémentaires sur les bulletins de numération. | Multiple changes have been described since 2008 in the Gulf of Lions ecosystem and particularly in small pelagic fish dynamic. In particular, the two main exploited species, i.e. anchovy (Engraulis encrasicolus) and sardine (Sardina pilchardus) are now smaller and in poor condition while a third species, the sprat (Sprattus sprattus) strongly increased in terms of biomass and abundance. This PhD thesis investigated these changes through the analysis of small pelagic fish body condition (i.e individual energy stores) variations, its causes and consequences. | Great part of lhe avaiable data about snakes reprodution refers to species coming from subtropical and temperate regions. In Brazil, the data is rather rare and can be found in various works where information is restricted. Results from studies developed with five viviparous snakes - Crotalus durissus cascavella (Wagler, 1824). Bothrops erythromelas(Amaral, 1923), B. leucurus (Wagler, 1824), Helicops leopardinus (Schlegel, 1873) and Thamnodynastes strigilis (Thiinberg, 1787) - which come from the Northeast of Brazil (Bahia) are described. | L'étude est axée principalement sur la reproduction, la croissance du Tacaud (Trisopterus luscus L.), ainsi que sur la répartition des individus à l'intérieur de la zone étudiée. Le Tacaud, poisson, gadidé, est une espèce côtière péchée artisanalement comme espèce accessoire. Les jeunes vivent à la côte; les adultes sont sur des fonds chalutables, à l'exception des plus âgés qui migrent sur des fonds rocheux.
